Unique Learning Opportunities

Whenever possible, LVA seeks to help students make connections with their local and global communities. Some examples of how LVA accomplishes this are:

• partnering with local businesses, such as the Miller Blood Bank to learn more about donating blood and to tour the facility
• seeking opportunities to participate in community events, such as decorating the Mayor's Christmas tree in Bethlehem
• learning about local government first hand by visiting Northampton County Courthouse for Law Day
• desigining off-site experiences that teach students about our local environment while participating in team-building activities like our Bike and Boat Field Trip and our three-day Sixth Grade Camp program
• coordinating distance-learning opportunities with local and global institutions

Extra-Curricular Activities

At LVA, we believe in educating the whole child, which includes providing opportunities to challenge the mind and body and to promote healthy relationships with others.
